The lifters are made from stainless steel and slide onto the outside edge of the insert.Ā You space them evenly around the outside edge and place the assembly so the lifters sit on the lowest part of the ceramic inside of the Egg.Ā This put the grilling surface right below the felt seal of the Egg.
